Ladies, Wake the Hell Up
I cannot believe I have to say this in 2025, but here we are. While far too many women are obsessing over the perfect shade of gel polish or the latest TikTok contour trend, your basic human rights are being stripped away—right in front of your meticulously mascaraed eyes.
Roe v. Wade is already gone. That ship sailed, and with it went your right to control your own damn body. Think that’s the end of it? Think again.
Now comes the SAVE Act, a deceptively-named pile of voter suppression wrapped in the flag. Under this proposed law, you’ll need to show documents like a passport or birth certificate—in person—to register to vote. Know what that means? If you changed your name when you got married or divorced (like 84% of women do), you better come up with every legal document tracing your name back to birth. And don’t assume they’ll let you use your marriage certificate either, because they’re being real cagey about that. If you don’t have a passport? Too bad. This isn’t about stopping fraud (which barely exists)—this is about stopping you from voting.
And guess who this hits hardest? Women. Young people. Low-income families. Minorities. AKA the people they don’t want at the polls.
Meanwhile, Project 2025—a real plan being drafted by Trump’s loyalists and extremists—is quietly preparing to take over every federal agency with right-wing ideologues who think women’s place is barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. They want to gut civil service protections, eliminate reproductive health care, and inject religious fundamentalism into every government decision.
They’re literally planning a theocratic takeover—while you’re distracted by the Sephora sale.
And while we’re at it: Donald Trump and RFK Jr. are not your saviors.
• RFK Jr. has peddled anti-vaccine disinformation that is getting kids sick again from diseases we had under control.
• He’s spread garbage science about autism and public health and is actively undermining trust in medicine—all while pretending to be a “truth-teller.” He’s dangerous.
Meanwhile, Trump is defunding programs that actually help you and your kids:
• Childcare assistance—slashed.
• School lunch programs—cut.
• Early Head Start and after-school programs—gone.
• Domestic violence prevention funding—on the chopping block.
• Health care subsidies—yep, those too.
But sure—go ahead and worry about your lashes. Just don’t act surprised when your daughter grows up with fewer rights than you had.
If you’re a woman and you’re not furious, you’re not paying attention.
It’s time to snap out of it, speak out, show up, and VOTE—before you lose even that.
