The “Peace Talks” Charade: A Deal That Was Dead Before It Began

The “Peace Talks” Charade: A Deal That Was Dead Before It Began
HERO ZELENSKYY

Bad Faith!

The meeting with Zelenskyy was never about peace—it was a carefully staged public relations stunt to make it look like diplomacy was an option when, in reality, nothing had changed. The world was supposed to believe that Ukraine could magically negotiate with a dictator who has agreed to absolutely nothing.

Let’s be clear: Putin has not budged. He has not withdrawn troops. He has not agreed to end the occupation of Ukrainian territory. He has not offered one legitimate concession. So why would anyone expect Zelenskyy to walk into a room and suddenly surrender his country’s sovereignty for the sake of “peace”?

How This Was Doomed From the Start

  1. Putin Wants Control, Not Peace
    • Russia’s demands remain exactly the same as they were in 2022: total capitulation. They want Ukraine to give up land, abandon NATO aspirations, and accept permanent Russian influence over its government.
    • That is not peace. That is conquest.
  2. Zelenskyy Was Set Up to Look Like the Villain
    • The second Ukraine refused to roll over and accept a deal on Trump-Putin’s terms, the narrative was already written:
    “Ukraine is the problem.”
    “Zelenskyy refuses to compromise.”
“If only Ukraine would agree to Trump’s extortion the war would be over.”
    • No mention of Russia still bombing cities. No mention of Putin refusing to pull back troops. No mention of Ukraine’s right to exist as an independent nation.
  3. The World Was Fed a False Choice
    • The idea that Ukraine is at fault for rejecting a “peace deal” is absurd. The real question is:
    • Should Ukraine surrender and accept Putin’s control?
    • Or should they continue fighting for their survival and who will help them because clearly, Putin owns Trump so the US won’t help.
    • That is the choice Zelenskyy faced—not “peace” vs. “war,” but freedom vs. occupation.

If You Want Peace, Start with Putin

If there was ever a chance for diplomacy, it wasn’t this. The only way peace could happen is if Russia actually agrees to stop the invasion. That hasn’t happened. Until it does, blaming Ukraine for the failure of these talks is nothing but propaganda.

This was never about peace. It was about pressuring Ukraine to accept defeat. But make no mistake—Zelenskyy’s refusal to cave is not the reason peace talks failed. The reason is sitting in the Kremlin, refusing to stop a war he started and Trump has his back.
