Google Willow: The secrets of the world’s most powerful quantum computer
Faisal Islam gets rare access to Willow - Google’s quantum computer.

On the tech front, I said this to my college students years ago: whoever wins the quantum computing race will effectively run the world. And I warned my IT students back then that we were already behind China. Just look at the math—compare our population to theirs. If genius is even remotely evenly distributed, they have a massive built-in advantage in raw brainpower alone.

Meanwhile, while we’re busy setting ourselves on fire over idiotic culture-war nonsense, the rest of the world—especially China—is building the future. We’re not competing. We’re busy tearing ourselves apart while they’re busy advancing.

SIGH!!! 💩

Also, I am distracted. Hoping IU wins this game tonight? It was even a dream last night.

A little distraction..a little.

About Minneapolis - I'm too upset to write a about it yet. Scary stuff, very scary!

My friend, Butch (in his 80s) wrote this:

"Good evening friends. I have been silent on the senseless murder of a mother, a poet and one of Gods children by an ICE agent allegedly named Johnathan Ross. My emotions are conflicted as I'm torn between sorrow and rage.
I'm worried because my anger seems to be overshadowing my heartbreak. I haven't had the kind this kind of feeling in years and I quite frankly don't like it.
Just who is Jonathan Ross ? What creates this kind of man. Oh,I know that he stood in front of a car not long ago and was dragged and injured, but other than that we know next to nothing. After his first encounter with a car,did ICE give him counseling to deal with the trauma? Did ICE retrain him in the scope of the law when dealing with the use of deadly force when someone is attempting to flee? Was he cleared for duty by a physician as to his mental condition?
There are so many questions about him that need to be delt with. What kind of a man shoots an unarmed woman three times in the face and then calmly walks to the car, looks at his victim and then calmly walks away, gets in a car and drives away?
Maybe we will never know what makes a man do something like this, but what we do know he committed a murder that could and should not have taken place.
Yes,my heart is broken because of this senseless crime, but at the same time I feel rage the such a heinous act can take place in America and the fear that if not delt with will inevitability happen again.
Goodnight friends and with great sorrow I remain your friend,Butch."

Called my representatives multiple times this week. We did get one of our Republican Senators, Todd Young, to agree to vote for War Powers Resolution (Which likely won't make it through Congress and signed by Trump)

Stay strong my friends!
